Gordana Oreščanin was born in Croatia, and she started her dance career with classical ballet when she was only 5 years old. She enjoyed a successful youth career in rhythmic gymnastics and achieved the title of Croatian champion.
Later, Gordana graduated as a programmer and sports professor at the University of Novi Sad.
In 1993, she founded the University Dance Sports Club, from which her dance school Viva Dance was born. In 1994, she presented the first Contemporary Dance Festival at the National Theater in Novi Sad, which then became a traditional annual event.
She was one of the judges in the well-known Serbian TV show "Plesom do snova" (Serbian version of Zvezda plejejo) for two seasons.
Today, Gordana is busy in her dance school, which recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, and works with the students of the sports faculty, and we will be happy to welcome her as one of the judges at this year's Rolly Dane Open, which will be held in May 2024 in Tabor Hall in Maribor.
Her sharp eye will definitely recognize the talents of young dancers.
